Homemade: Body Wash

Body wash is my preferred cleansing agent, and here's why: 1. A bar of soap often doesn't last as long as it should, on account of the water hitting it while it's in the shower and not necessarily in use. 2. A bar of soap in a container often develops an ucky film on the bottom of it.

But body wash, store-bought, can be expensive. My favorite brand is Nivea and for about 18 oz., the cost is $4 (not on sale). Usually, I have a coupon for this that at least halves the price, but we're still talking $2 for 18 oz. The cost is 11 cents per ounce.

With this homemade body wash, for 36 oz, the cost is about $1. Per ounce, the cost is about 3 cents. That's a huge savings! This homemade solution is super easy, too. Here's what you need to make homemade body wash:

• 2 cups grated soap (I used 1.5 bars of soap)
• 2 Tbsp. glycerin

Directions

• Grate soap.
• In a pot with 64 oz. of water, melt the soap.
• While still on the burner, add glycerin. Stir.
• Pour mixture into Mason jars or other containers.
• Let the containers sit, without moving them, for about 24 hours. The mixture will thicken up considerably.

Here's what the finished product looks like:

You can use any bar of soap you like. I used Dial soap that I purchased in bulk for Sam's Club. The cost per bar was about 40 cents. You can also add essential oil to this homemade solution if your bar is fragrance free and you would prefer a fragrance or to create your own fragrance. I did not add any oil to mine, though - the Dial soap smells really good! You can refill old body wash containers with this body wash.

Mungkin bila orang lihat wajah aku...orang sekekeliling tidak tahu yang aku sedang diuji..Alhamdulillah dengan nikmat yang Allah SWT berikan buatku kerana aku seorang yang  tidak pandai menunjukkan kesedihanku di khalayak. HONEY WALNUT FIG CHEESECAKE BARS

INGREDIENTS

for the crust

• ½ cup walnuts
• 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
• ¼ cup sugar
• 6 tablespoons butter, melted

for the honey cheesecake

• 10 oz cream cheese, room temperature
• 2 eggs, room temperature
• ⅓ cup honey
• 2 teaspoons vanilla
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 6 fresh figs, sliced thin lengthwise (wait to slice until the very end)

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Line a 9x9 pan with parchment paper.
2. In a food processor, combine the walnuts, graham cracker crumbs, and sugar. Pulse until the mixture resembles a fine sand and the walnuts are completely pulverized. Pour in butter and pulse until it comes together. Press the crust firmly and evenly into the pan.
3. In a large mixing bowl, whip cream cheese and eggs until light and fluffy. Add in honey, vanilla, and salt, mixing until combined. Pour over prepared crust.
4. Place the 9x9 pan in a water bath (you will need a larger pan filled with 1 inch of water) and place everything into the oven. Bake for 1 hour, then allow the cheesecake to cool completely (about 4 hours).
5. Once cooled, arrange the fresh fig slices over the cheesecake. Use a sharp knife or scissors to cut the figs to fit around the perimeter.

 Berakhirlah amanatku terhadap kedua ibubapaku agar sentiasa menjaga hubungan dengan Mak Chak Hjh Sufiah Bt Ali dan Pak Chak Hj Mohd Isa Bin Hj Mohamad . Amanah yang aku pegang sudah hampir 24 tahun selepas kematian ayahandku Hj Shahrom Bin Rahim dan 10 thn bondaku Hjh Siti Esah Bt Mohamad.

Mereka berpesan kepadaku agar menjaga nama baik dan juga jangan sesekali memutuskan silaturahimku dengan Mak dan Pak kerana budi dan jasa mereka buat ayah dan ibuku sangatlah besar yg tiada bandingnya dengan wang ringgit. Walaupun hatiku terluka aku tetap rawat agar aku boleh berdiri dengan kukuh bila berhadapan dengan mereka. Aku sayangkan mereka kerana Allah SWT.

Akhirya mak dan ayah berjiran juga di Tanah Perkuburan Akar Peluru, Jalan Pegawai  bersama dengan Pak Chak dan mak Chak ku.   

Tempatkanlah mereka disisi orang-orang yang kau redhai.. 

Lindungilah mereka dari azab kubur dan azab api nerakaَ.

Masukkanlah mereka ke dalam syurga Mu ya ALLAH...

Ampunilah dosa-dosanya...

Cottage Pie

Ingredients

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon butter, softened

Cooking spray

1 1/2 cups chopped onion

1/2 cup chopped carrot

1 (8-ounce) package cremini or button mushrooms, thinly sliced

1 pound extra-lean ground beef

2 tablespoons no-salt-added tomato paste

1 cup fat-free, lower-sodium beef broth

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 cups leftover mashed potatoes

3/4 cup (3 ounces) shredded reduced-fat sharp white cheddar cheese, divided

1tbsp sunflower oil
1 med onion, peeled and chopped
2 carrots, peeled and diced
500g minced beef
250g chestnut mushrooms, sliced
2 level tbsp plain flour
400g can chopped tomatoes
1 beef stock cube

Dash of Worcestershire sauce
450g mashed potato
Knob of butter

Ingredients

For the potatoes:

1 1/2 pounds russet potatoes

1/4 cup half-and-half

2 ounces unsalted butter

3/4 teaspoon kosher salt

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1 egg yolk

For the meat filling:

2 tablespoons canola oil

1 cup chopped onion

2 carrots, peeled and diced small

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 1/2 pounds ground lamb

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons tomato paste

1 cup chicken broth

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

2 teaspoons freshly chopped rosemary leaves

1 teaspoon freshly chopped thyme leaves

1/2 cup fresh or frozen corn kernels

1/2 cup fresh or frozen English peas
